A seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and winner of a record 200 races in his career, Petty is known by many in motorsports circles as "The King." Petty retired from racing in 1992 and now spends much of his time overseeing the operations of Richard Petty Motorsports, a three-car team competing in NASCAR's highest levels.

The CHaD Storybook Ball will transform the pages of many storybook treasures into reality as guests are transported into an awe-inspiring wonderland of imagination. The enchanted evening takes place in a private hanger at Wiggins Airways, where over 30 storybook designed tables will be unveiled to all in attendance. Guest will feast on cuisine from some of the state’s award winning restaurants, while being entertained by in-costume characters and dance until the clock strikes midnight.
The 8th annual CHaD HERO offers a Half Marathon, 5K Run, Cam's Course 1 Mile Fun Run for Kids, a 5k walk and new for this year a 10k walk and scavenger hunt.
