Barnes and Noble Bookfair for CHaD Reach Out and Read

Barnes and Noble locations in Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth & Salem
Barnes and Noble Booksellers in Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, and Salem will host an all-day bookfair on April 13, 2013 to support the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). Book donations and a portion of all online book sales and in-stores will go towards the Manchester Reach Out and Reach Program at CHaD. Each store will host free, family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Manchester-
10:00 a.m. – Grammy-winning children's songwriter, Judy Pancoast: Live book reading & songs
12:00 noon – Music Fun
1:00 p.m. – Teddy Bear Clinic & Book signing: Anatomy of A Miracle, Drew's Story. By Jennifer D'Auteuil
2:00 p.m. – WZID DJ Heather Bishop: Live book reading
3:00 p.m. – Free craft: ChaD-a –saurus bookmark making

Reach Out and Read is a national program that partners with physicians, families, and early childhood educators. The program serves as a distraction to sick or injured children who regularly require critical services at CHaD. Instead of fearing tests and doctor's appointments, young patients look forward to well-child visits as a result of receiving donated books from Reach Out and Read. Since the program was adopted in September 2010 by Dartmouth-Hitchcock, the Manchester Division of Reach Out and Read has given out more than 13,305 children's books to patients of CHaD.
