A special CHaD thanks to the many Wal-Mart Stores, Sam's Club in New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts and to their vendors who have partnered to put on these fun events in support of the kids at CHaD.

Bedford Wal-Mart Sports Card Show, and Flea Market

Bedford Wal-Mart will host Manchester’s very first Sports Card Show and Flea Market.   The event will include a baseball card show and flea market, with a variety of sports memorabilia, hats, shirts and autographed photos to name a few.  Sports cards and memorabilia collectors are invited to have their own table.  Table registration fee is $25. Wal-Mart employees and their friends and families will have an assortment of yummy baked goods on sale.  All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, CHaD.  Admission is free but donations are appreciated.  Doors open at 9AM and the event runs until 4PM.  Vendors can set up tables as early as 7AM.  Lia Sophia Jewelry and Mia Bella Candles will also have booths at the event.  An auction with great prizes including tickets to Canobie Lake Park and Water Country rounds out the day’s activities.

The Tilton Wal-Mart Store will host their annual soft Ball Tournament in Franklin, NH.  The family fun starts at 9AM, rain or shine.   Softball teams representing five Wal-Mart stores will compete to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, CHaD. There’ll be burgers and hot dogs, a 50/50 raffle with a variety of prizes including a huge stuffed Polar bear, coolers and possibly NASCAR tickets; all donated by local businesses and Wal-Mart Vendors.  The tournament is sponsored in part by Polar Beverages, Coca-Cola and Pepsi.  For information contact: Stacy Collins, (603) 286-7673

Woodsville Wal-Mart Booth at the North Haverhill Fair

Come meet the CHaD-a-saurus? The CHaD’s mascot, the CHaD-a-saurus, will be at the North Haverhill Fair in person, at the Woodsville’s Wal-Mart booth.   For the second year in a row, Woodsville Wal-Mart’s booth will raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, CHaD. Their booth will feature refreshing beverages and handouts such as CHaD bracelets and pencils.  Raffle tickets can be purchased at the booth, with all proceeds going to benefit CHaD.  There will also be a petting zoo, games and more at the fair.  For information contact: Anna Knapp, (603) 747-8250.Walmart event - Clown

Start your engines!  Amherst Wal-Mart is teaming up with Nashua Harley Davidson to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, CHaD.  Enjoy a scenic motorcycle ride, and a day full of family fun and great food, all to benefit CHaD!  The ride will take a scenic route up through Peterborough, NH.  Registration starts at 9AM, $25 per rider and $10 per passenger, and with the ride taking off at 10AM; followed by a huge pig roast, with hamburgers and hot dogs also available.  Rain or shine!  Friday’s Restaurant, Coca-Cola and Pepsi are this year’s sponsors for the motorcycle run.  For information, contact  Tony Tiner, (603) 672-3421.

Keene NH’s Wal-Mart will once again host a booth at the annual Keene Pumpkin Festival, serving delicious hot soups, hot cider, hot chocolate, sausage grinders, a wide assortment of pies and tasty home baked goods. The festival begins at 10AM with Keene Wal-Mart’s booth serving throughout the festival on Main Street.  Keene Wal-Mart is still recruiting volunteers.
