About Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
We are a federally recognized Hemophilia (bleeding disorders) and Thrombosis Center and are a member of the Children's Oncology Group, a national research organization dedicated to treating children with cancers.
We gently guide children and their families through their treatment in age-appropriate ways. The CHaD PainFree Program ensures that our patients do not experience discomfort during procedures or therapies they may need. Our social worker and Child Life Specialist provide resources for patients and families who need additional support such as counseling or financial assistance. Our goal is to not only treat a child's illness, but also to help the child and family maintain as normal a life as possible during therapy and afterwards.
Members of the Nursing staff, Patient and Family Relations, the Child Life Program, Social Work, Chaplaincy Services, and the Hematology/Oncology team work together to provide the best care possible.
