Injury Prevention Center

The Injury Prevention Center's mission is to prevent deaths and disability due to injuries through public and professional education, enactment and enforcement of appropriate legislation, and encouraging the development, distribution and use of proven strategies to prevent injuries.

The Center provides resources for the public and professionals on a wide range of injury issues including:

  • Child passenger safety and occupant protection
  • Helmets for a variety of recreational activities
  • Pedestrian issues
  • Falls risk reduction
  • Some injury prevention
  • Safe playgrounds
  • Firearm safety
  • Suicide prevention
